COLSUBSIDIO SUB-BRAND PRODUCT PACKAGING

Project Overview
Café de las Letras, a sub-brand of Colsubsidio, was developed as an in-house concept
for cafés inside its stores and clubs across Colombia.
The goal was to create a yogurt line with enough personality to feel exclusive within the café environment
while remaining ready for future retail expansion.
Designed by Iván Hernández, graphic designer, the packaging system was built to stand out in a crowded
natural-products market through a more authentic, healthy, and visually distinctive identity.
Challenge
Position a new yogurt line in a highly saturated “natural” category, where most brands rely on similar visual codes.
The product needed to feel authentic, healthy, and premium, while still standing out on shelf and aligning with the Café de las Letras experience. At the same time, it had to be flexible enough to expand beyond internal distribution into competitive retail environments.
Solution
Developed a bold and cohesive packaging system built on high-contrast labels, organic shapes, and vibrant color coding by flavor. The design balances clean structure with expressive elements, allowing quick recognition while reinforcing a natural and approachable personality.
The sub-brand identity was integrated in a way that leverages Colsubsidio’s trust without losing individuality.
Results
A distinctive and scalable product line that stands out clearly in crowded shelves.
Strong visual consistency across SKUs improved recognition and brand recall.
The system successfully positioned the product as both exclusive and retail-ready, supporting its expansion beyond in-store cafés.
